Associated Program of the 2026 Rencontres d’Arles
After more than ten years of presence in Arles, the Manuel Rivera-Ortiz Foundation opens a new chapter in its history in 2026. This transitional year reflects both the continuation of its commitment to documentary photography and socially engaged artistic practices, and a renewed ambition to foster creation, research, and knowledge sharing.
As part of the 2026 Rencontres de la Photographie d’Arles, the Foundation presents Come Together, a program bringing together projects by Eric Bouvet, Regula Tschumi, Yuan Goang-Ming, Oleñka Carrasco and La Chica, Shelby Duncan, as well as contributions from FOTOHAUS and the Foundation’s photographic library.
Through a variety of artistic approaches, these exhibitions explore themes of connection, memory, identity, and coexistence in a constantly evolving world.
The Foundation also continues its mission of supporting emerging artists, particularly those from the Global South, while strengthening its collaborations with schools, universities, researchers, and cultural organizations. More than an exhibition venue, it aims to be a space for encounter, dialogue, and transmission, open to both artists and audiences throughout the year.
