Antoine RENARD

Crypto-Pharmacopoeia is a video, sound and olfactory installation. The project follows on from Antoine Renard's research in the Peruvian Amazon, where he studied the way plants, through their perfumes and ritualized shamanic uses, influence the social organization and identity construction of local populations. In a perspective of hybridization and decolonization of modernist thought, this research is situated between vegetalist animism and technological naturalism.
