WU Chuan-Lun

The ever-going changes, compromises and contradictions informing the relations between nature and civilization, ecology and politics as well as materials and the digital have formed the general background of Wu Chuan-Lun’s art practice.
In JTC, Wu has created a typology of compromised lifestyle of “everything could grow together” which is quite typical in Taiwan, since the dividing of communities and factories are commonly blurred due to the past policy “House as factory”. Through a game of “reconversion”, the artist attemps to pay homage to this phenomenon as much due to the virtue of no-wastage as to an aesthetic of the alternative.
