The AMC seeds exhibition brings together a new range
of photographic seed packets to take home and sow.
Each packet is illustrated with a vegetal image from the Archives of Modern Conflict collection

from the early cyanotypes of British botanist Anna Atkins to the colour tracking shots of English painter Graham Sutherland and images by Czech photographer Josef Sudek. Together, these envelopes tell a small photographic story of the visceral attachment to nature and in particular to plants, trees, flowers and wild grasses.
Works by well-known artists are shown alongside images of anonymous and unknown people. Scientific photographs stand next to images of illustrations; and amateur, documentary and artistic photographs. The diversity of the photographs is in the image of the plant...
