Time Atlas is a senseless attempt to control the ever-increasing flow of images and bring it together in a meaningful way.
Inspired by encyclopedias, Vatanen freely organizes the images with thematic categories. She focuses in particular on questions concerning time and our perception of it, and explores how visual memory, personal experience and history intertwine.
